What are Microgreens?
Microgreens are Larger than a sprout and smaller than a baby green! These super greens are packed with more vitamins and nutrients then their counterparts some up to 60% At an average of 2 weeks of growth is when you they should be harvested! They are more concentrated and more flavorful! If some of them are grown longer they tend to turn fibrous and not as delicious to eat! They are typically used in salads, smoothies, soups, sandwiches...etc! They have been used as garnish since the 1980s in most high end restaurants, but not really sold to the public as an addition to our every day regular foods! Some specialty supermarkets may offer a mixed package, but thats not real fresh, they've lost all their nurients and they are generally pretty mushy! Not too many people are aware of what they are and what benefits they offer! Therefore we have been introducing them to you by way of our storefront! We sell over 30+ varieties so there are plenty to choose from and can be mixed to your liking and preordered weekly for the biweekly harvest, so you never miss a Beet!
